Jure Miklavc earned a degree in industrial design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He started his career working as a freelance designer before founding his own design consultancy, Studio Miklavc. Studio Miklavc specializes in product design, visual communications, and brand development, advising a broad client base in the light design, electronic goods, user interfaces, transport design, and medical equipment sectors. Sports equipment designed by the studio has gained worldwide recognition.

The team consists of six experienced designers: Jože Carli, Marko Ježek, Andrej Šenk, Barbara Šušteršič, Silva Vitez, and Jure. The team has worked for prestigious Italian motorcycle manufacturer Bimota since 2013 and has clients from Austria, Germany, California, and South Korea. Studio Miklavc’s innovative designs have received countless international awards and been shown in numerous exhibitions. Jure Miklavc has been involved in design education since 2005 and is currently a lecturer and head of industrial design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana.
